Plenary Presenter: Looking at the Facts - State-specific Data Packets

Rebecca Fitch is the Project Manager for the U. S. Department of Education’s Civil Rights Data Collection, which biennially collects school and district level data from a sample of approximately 7,000 school districts. She is also a Senior Attorney in the Department’s Office for Civil Rights. Ms. Fitch has been with the Department of Education for over 30 years. During that time she has also worked in the Office of General Counsel, the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services and the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education. Throughout her career at the Department, Ms. Fitch has always been particularly interested in the role that data and research can play in providing access to equal educational opportunity for all students.
